Who's With Us?

Hello Everyone,

If you check out the side list, I've posted the reading teams from our High School FUEL group. We're going to use these groups for encouragement as well as organizing monthly times together to hang out and have fun.

If you weren't able to be there on Wednesday night, it's still not too late to join our group. Talk to me at church, give me a call, send me an email or post a comment letting me know that you want to join us.

Also, I've talked with a few others in our church (and elsewhere) that have decided to join us on our Scripture Adventure. If you are joining with us, leave a comment so that we can know who's with us.

Blessings as you read!

hi everyone
i have a tip for all of you that are still struggling on focusing what you are reading and not other things. To me, reading something while hearing it being read to me is a lot easier to understand than just reading it myself; but I also find that if you are hearing it being read to you while you are reading it, that it helps if you mouth out the words as well. it really keeps my mind off of other things. I hope it helps.

Hi,
My name is Joy Pierce and I am going to read through the Bible with you this year. In 1994 I found a radio program (in Southern California) that was promoting a program "Read The Bible More in 1994" so I started reading with them. I have been reading with them ever since that time. Sometimes it was a real struggle to keep up with the program, but over the years I have really come to love my time in God's word.
Reading through with you will be a little different as I am used to starting at the beginning and reading straight through but I am really looking forward to reading with other members of my church. I like the idea that we are all on the "same page" so to speak.

Hey guys!

Right now I'm reading Micah - it's been a little hard for me, it's kind of confusing, I don't know about anyone else but I find it difficult to read. It's been so great reading daily though, I love spending some time during the day by myself when I can be close to God. Mandie, I will call you soon and we need to plan a time for you and me and Cathryn to get together...I just need to get through this week of finals and then I'll be free! Yay! :) So yeah, thanks for your prayers you guys and I'll hopefully see you all at youth group.

Hey Melody!
Yes, we definately need to get together soon! Let Cathryn and me know when you're done with finals. Oh, and Brenden Knapp might be joining our accountability group too!

Hey Everyone!

By the end of this week we'll have read 3 books already! John, Micah and Galatians! Isn't that exciting and encouraging? I've really loved our reading so far, and I love that we're all reading together. I do think it's so important what Mrs. Achilles said in the comment she left a couple of days ago... We really do need to be in prayer as we go through our Bibles. We need to make sure that there isn't anything hindering our walk with God and our ability to hear Him speak to us. Anyway, I'm looking forward to tomorrow night to hear how everybody is doing so far.
